Big News: My New Path as a Virtual Assistant Coach

I have some exciting news to share with all of you today. Over the past few months, I have felt a growing spark of inspiration. I have felt a strong calling to share my story and help others who are on their own business journey. Because of this, I am softly transitioning into a Virtual Assistant Coach and mentor.

You are going to start seeing some changes in the content I share. I will be posting more educational information and resources for aspiring VA’s. Along with my experience and journey as a Virtual Assistant to help those of you who are dreaming of this lifestyle.

This does not mean that I am not leaving my current clients. I love the work I do for them. I will still be keeping a block of hours dedicated to my services as a Virtual Assistant. If a client spot opens up in the future, I will still look to fill it. However, I am expanding my services to help a whole new group of people.

My Journey as a Virtual Assistant

My journey started around 2017 when I first discovered what a Virtual Assistant was. At that time, I was travelling overseas in Australia and was about to go home to see family for the summer. I had a dream of a freedom lifestyle. I wanted to work from my laptop so I could fund my travels and earn a living from anywhere.

I started diving into online blogs and resources. I spent hours trying to figure out what it was really like to work online. During a break from travelling, I was lucky enough to be at home with some free time. This is when I built my foundation.

I taught myself how to use WordPress and built my very first website. I learned how to use Illustrator to design my own logo. I even dove into Photoshop and Lightroom. I used that time to set up my online presence before I packed my bags again.

In 2018, I was back on the road. This is when I started really putting myself out there. I applied to jobs on Facebook groups and connected with people on social media. I eventually landed my first client from a job posting in the Virtual Assistant Savvies group. That was the real beginning.

I kept applying for jobs and slowly built up my client base. When I came home right before 2020, I planned to travel again. Of course, the world had other plans. Since I did not want to get an in-person job, I went all in on my business.

I worked hard to turn it into a full-time income. Since then, my business has been my main source of income. I do pick up part-time jobs now and then just to get out of the house for my mental health, but my online work is my focus.

Where I am at Now

I am proud to say that I have been with some of my clients for nearly five years. Many others have been with me for three or four years. I value these relationships deeply. However, I now feel an urge to speak on my experience.

I want to help aspiring assistants understand how to get started. I want to share the challenges of structuring a business. It is a whole new world when you are a freelancer. You have to be your own boss. You have to be in charge of sales, marketing, and doing the actual work.

There are so many questions that come up. There is no single right way to do things. I remember feeling very unsure when I first started.

I actually paid for a mentorship call very early in my career. I was in New Zealand at the time. It was a 90-minute call, and it was one of the best investments I ever made. It gave me the chance to ask questions to someone who was already doing what I wanted to do. It helped guide me down the right path.

Now, I want to be that person for you. I want to share my knowledge on client onboarding and managing client relationships. I want to teach you how to become a Virtual Assistant who is trusted and successful.

Virtual Assistant Mentorship Calls

As a Virtual Assistant Coach, I will be offering Virtual Assistant Mentorship calls. You can book a single call if you just need a little direction. I am also offering a package of three calls for those who want more guidance.

One thing I realized from my own experience is that the questions often come up after the call ends. That is why my packages will include Slack support. I want to make sure you have a place to ask those follow-up questions as you implement what we discussed.

I am really looking forward to this new chapter. If you are ready to start your journey or need help growing your business, please check out the link below for my strategy calls. You can see exactly what to expect.
