So, how did my Virtual Assistant journey begin?
I have always been a very organized person who loves colour coding, post-it notes, reminders, and setting processes/procedures for just about everything.
My journey as a Virtual Assistant began in 2018 while travelling the world as an extra income while on a Working Holiday Visa.
The reason I decided to be a Virtual Assistant was to be able to work from my laptop so I could still travel and see different parts of the world!
As an organization freak and colour-coding fanatic, naturally, I quickly fell in love with online business systems, workflows, and automation for online small businesses.
My time as a Virtual Assistant has given me experience in tasks such as:
Managing client's calendars including scheduling appointments appointment follow-ups and managing their calendar
Basic Social Media Management, including the creation of basic graphics and scheduling of posts
Setting up Standard Operating Procedures and streamlining day-to-day tasks with the help of templates, checklists, and systems
Website updates and maintenance
Data entry in various systems including GSuite, CRM, and Project Management softwares
Creation and formatting of documents and spreadsheets
Various research for travel, events, and personal matters, presented in a concise document. Including making travel arrangements and personal bookings
Primarily this role has helped me to gain experience and extensive knowledge in many different systems commonly used by online business owners.
Because of this, over time I became more of a System Implementer to my clients, helping business owners set up systems and offering guidance on how they can integrate them with other systems in their operations.
Throughout my journey, I have had the opportunity to serve online business coaches, copywriters, online consultants and course creators.
I have still kept a few Virtual Assistant clients on for ongoing work. I very much enjoy the tasks and I like having that ongoing relationship as working from home can get lonely.
